Security at Minutes

Minutes helps investors, businesses, and accounting professionals consolidate crypto activity, classify transactions, track token inventory and cost basis, and prepare audit-ready reports. That work depends on sensitive financial data, so security and privacy are part of how we design and operate the platform.

Read-only by design. Minutes uses read-only connections and does not need permission to trade, transfer, or withdraw your digital assets. Your funds remain under your control.

Protecting access to your crypto data

Read-only wallet and exchange connections

When you connect a supported wallet or exchange, Minutes uses read-only access to import the balances and transaction history needed for accounting. Read-only access does not allow Minutes to initiate trades, transfers, or withdrawals. Minutes does not need your private keys, and you can revoke a connection at any time through the connected service.

No custody of your assets

Minutes is an accounting and reporting platform. It does not hold or manage your cryptocurrency. Your assets remain in the wallets and exchange accounts you control.

Organized records for clients and entities

Minutes supports separate accounting records for each client or entity, helping businesses and CPA firms keep work organized within professional review workflows.

Protecting your information

Encryption and secure transmission

Minutes uses encryption to help protect your data and maintains reasonable security and confidentiality safeguards while personal information is transmitted, accessed, and stored. The Minutes website and application are delivered over HTTPS to protect data in transit.

Controlled access

Minutes controls access to customer information and provides service providers with information only as needed for their contracted functions. If you choose to work with a CPA or another professional through Minutes, that professional may access the information you make available for the engagement.

Trusted service providers

Minutes works with service providers for functions such as hosting, data processing, analytics, account management, and support. These providers are required to keep information confidential, comply with applicable data-protection laws, and use it only to provide services on Minutes’ behalf.

Monitoring and platform integrity

Minutes may monitor platform and account activity to protect users, investigate suspected fraud or misuse, and maintain the integrity and security of the service.

Privacy and control

We do not sell personal information

Minutes does not sell your personal information. Information may be disclosed only as described in the Minutes Privacy Policy, including when needed to provide requested services, work with service providers, comply with legal obligations, or protect Minutes and its users.

Retention and deletion

Minutes retains personal information while your account is active and as otherwise needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting Minutes. Some information may need to be retained where permitted or required by law.

Revoke connections when you choose

You can revoke a wallet or exchange connection at any time. Revoking a connection stops the permissions granted through that connection. If you also want previously imported personal information deleted, submit a deletion request to Minutes.

Your role in keeping your account secure

Security is a shared responsibility. You can help protect your Minutes account and crypto data by following a few simple practices:

Use a strong, unique password for Minutes and keep it confidential.
Never share a private key, seed phrase, password, or authentication code. Minutes does not need your private keys for read-only accounting imports.
When creating an exchange API connection, confirm that it is read-only and that trading and withdrawal permissions are disabled.
Revoke connections you no longer use and review access to your exchange, wallet, and email accounts regularly.
Keep your devices, browsers, and operating systems up to date, and contact Minutes promptly if you notice suspicious activity.

Report a security concern

If you believe you have found a security issue or notice unauthorized activity involving your Minutes account, email hello@minutescrypto.com with the subject line “Security Report.” Include a clear description of the issue and the steps needed to reproduce it, where applicable. Please do not include passwords, private keys, seed phrases, or unnecessary personal information.

No online service can guarantee complete security. Minutes works to maintain reasonable safeguards and improve them as the platform and the threat landscape evolve.
